Botulinum toxin can be used to treat dynamic wrinkles, or wrinkles caused by muscle movements. Delivered precisely into the offending facial muscles, botulinum toxin relaxes the muscles, lessening creasing of the skin, leaving a more refreshed, youthful appearance. It is often used to lift the brows, again restoring an appearance of youth. The effect lasts for 3-6 months. Areas treated include the brow (11’s), forehead, crow’s feet, bunny lines, and lips.

Botulinum toxin is also effective for the treatment of hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, of the underarms and palms.
