Dr. Cumsky is a Board-Certified Dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She grew up in sunny San Diego and did her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, graduating magna cum laude with dual degrees in Human Biology and Psychology. Dr. Cumsky then completed her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, graduating with research honors. She moved to the Phoenix area for her dermatology residency training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Arizona; during this time, she was also able to train with the pediatric dermatologists at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, gaining experience with both common and rare pediatric skin diseases.
Dr. Cumsky is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, the Phoenix Dermatological Society, and the O’Leary Society for Mayo Clinic-trained dermatologists. She has authored numerous scientific publications with topics ranging from skin cancers and inflammatory skin conditions to health care disparities. Her passion is skin disease, its impact on quality of life, and how best to limit the impact of these conditions on patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Cumsky enjoys spending time with her husband, toddler girl, and dog. She is also an avid fish keeper and loves cooking.
